During training we are in direct contact with other members and surfaces. It’s important to remember some
basic cleanliness guidelines. Most are common sense, but we are listing some that apply to specific arts as well as across all.
1) Always wear shoes in the bathroom If you are returning to training.
2) Shower after your training session.
3) Be sure to wash your GI after you train (having at least 2 Gi is a good idea).
4) Wipe down and sanitize your gloves and shin guards after you train. Wash your wraps.
5) Keep your nails trimmed on your hands and feet, especially if grappling or kicking.
6) If you are bleeding from training, clean up the mats if you bled on it or tell the staff. Cover the wound. If you bleed in the bathrooms or get it on the sink clean it or tell the staff.
7) Should you get sick on the mats or in the bathrooms please tell the staff right away so the surfaces can be
cleaned.
8) If you’re sick and could spread to others, please stay home. We want you to get your training, but not at the
expense of others.
9) If you box, kickbox or do MMA please get your own gear. We provide loaners for those trying class or if you forget yours but having your own helps to keep everything clean.
These are just some of the basic common practices to keep yourself and your training partners healthy.
