Is your cardio hard enough to hit your performance goals? Here’s how to tell:
If you have a heart rate monitor (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, etc), I want you to find your heart rate during a cardio session when your muscles start to burn and you are breathing hard.
For speed, strength, and performance you shouldn’t be able to hold a conversation here. Now take notes cause this is the point where you are boosting metabolism and increasing your cardiovascular fitness.
Aim to spend 50% of your workout in that heart rate zone. Here’s a workout to practice:
Warm-Up for 5 Minutes
Then do 8 – 60 second blasts at the heart rate you found. You can ️ ️ or do anything else you enjoy.
